Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions, says Manchester United

Manchester United has released a statement confirming that Marcus Rashford has taken responsibility for his action.

This is after the England forward was pictured partying in Northern Ireland even though he had reported to the club that he will be away due to illness.

Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag had released a statement confirming that his forward will be away due to illness but that was not the case after leaked images of him emerged online.

On Monday, Marcus Rashford held talks with the manager and it is reported that he will be deducted two weeks wages and the matter is now closed.

“Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed.” read the statement.

Marcus has been facing criticism lately over his partying lifestyle. In October he was on the news partying following the club’s 3-0 win against Manchester City.

In December 2022, he was dropped from the starting eleven against Wolves after he arrived late only for him to score after he was introduced as a substitute.
