Mbooni Boys High School has on Thursday been closed indefinitely after two tow of its dormitories were torched for two consecutive days by the students.
The first incident at the institution was recorded on Tuesday when a dormitory housing 180 students was torched at around 11:30pm.
The affected students were forced to sleep in the cold as they watched helplessly as their belongings turned into ashes.

In the second incident that occurred on Thursday morning at around 5am, the second dormitory housing over 200 students was set ablaze by the students.
Confirming the incident was Mbooni West Subcounty Director of Education Benjamin Mauko who said that they are looking at alternatives to solve such emerging issues.
“In the Tuesday night incident, 180 students were affected, and today 160 students are particularly distressed as they lost everything in the blaze. They were left with nothing but what they were wearing,” he said
“Students must understand that burning dormitories is not the solution. I urge them to seek alternative ways to address issues rather than resorting to destructive measures that ultimately harm the entire school community, especially the parents who will bear the financial burden of rebuilding,” he continued
No injuries have however been reported with Mauko confirming that investigations into the incident is underway to zero in on those who committed it.
