Meru Deputy Governor Isaac Mutuma was on Wednesday grilled by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) over Sunday’s protest.
The Deputy Governor was expected to shed more light over the protests that took place during Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s Okolea Program event where hell broke lose.
Appearing before the officers, the Deputy Governor was in the company of the officers and his supporters before he was taken in and his supporters left behind patiently waiting for their leader.

Chaos erupted on Sunday when a cow was slaughtered and mattresses meant for donation by the Governor were burnt. Governor Kawira MWangaza later blamed CS Linturi for the incident.
“Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good. You have killed your own Leadership. I declare and decree in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
“May the blood of the innocent cry before God, you will receive it back 7 times in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Meanwhile ni Kumi bila brakes. Linturi and associates you will never occupy my position you have lost it all,” she said
