Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza has on Wednesday been arrested after she allegedly organizaed the outlawed Okoleo program in the county.
The arrested at Ruiga village, Imenti Central was inline with the directive by Interior CS Kithure Kindiki who declared the program illegal following violence in a past event.
Speaking after the arrest, Mwangaza noted that she had been accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Livestock to oversee the whole exercise which according to her was very transperant.
