Two people are feared dead on Tuesday following a mid air collision involving two planes in Nairobi.
The incident involved Safarilink Plane Dash8 and a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, Reg 5Y-NNJ, run by Ninety Nines Flying School but Dash 8 landed safely at Wilson Airport.
The Cessna plane however crashed at Nairobi National Park where the two deaths are reported to have occured.

At the time of the incident, the Safarilink plane had 39 passengers and 5 crew members onboard heading to Diani when they heard a loud bang just after take off as confirmed by the company.
“”Safarilink Aviation wishes to report that this morning at 9:45 Local Time our flight number 053 with 39 passengers and 5 crew on board headed to Diani experienced a loud bang soon after take-off. The crew decided to immediately turn back to Nairobi-Wilson Airport for further inspection and assessment and landed safely. There were no casualties reported,” they said
An investigation into the incident has also been launched as confirmed by the The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
“Investigations have commenced through various agencies led by the Air Accident Investigation Department (MID) and the National Police Service to establish the cause of the accident,” they said
