Mohamed Salah scored deep in the second half to give Liverpool a crucial win again 10 man Everton at Anfield stadium.
Liverpool who stepped in as favourites to win the clash were held to a goalless first half despite Ashley Young picking up two yellow cards and definite red card in the 37th minute.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had his chance in the first half but his effort went straight to the hands of Alisson Becker as Salah wasted an opportunity on the other end. Luis Díaz had his shot deflected by Ashley young.

In the second half it was a one sided affair as James Tarkowski blocked Mohamed Salah’s effort before Onana blocked Diaz from taking his chance.
Michael Keane had the ball hit his hand giving Liverpool a crucial penalty which was converted by Salah. Darwin Nunez dash in the stoppage minute turned the ball to Salah who netted his second of the afternoon.
The results sent Jurgen Klopp’s side top of the table with 20 points and level with Tottenham and Arsenal. Everton sit 16th in the table with seven points from nine games played.
