Police in Eldoret have launched investigations after a fourth year student at Moi University was found dead at her room.
The Sunday incident was discovered after friends and family of Cynthia Mutinda could not reach the student causing panic into her whereabouts.
“We got a report today at around 9am that there was a student who lives outside the school who had died,” Kesses OCPD Wilfred Mogere told Citizen TV

They then dashed to her house which is outside the school where they could see her lying on her bed but unresponsive. Upon gaining entrance, they discovered that Cynthia had died but lacked visible injuries on her body.
“Aliweza kutafutwa na marafiki wake na wazazi kutoka jana na wakati hawakumpata wakaenda kwake leo asubuhi, wakapa mlango imefungwa ndani na kwa dirisha wakaona ni kama amelala, wakaita polisi,” said Mogere
According to Mogere, the body of the young lady will undergo autopsy to determine the cause of death.
“When they broke down the door they found her dead, but he body had no signs of injuries, we are investigating the matter to know the cause of death,” he said
