A minor is feared dead and properties of unknown value razed down following a Thursday morning deadly inferno in Kibarage slums, Gigiri.
The 1am incident occurred when the family of 11 month infant was asleep as confirmed by authorities and locals speaking to the media.

Locals and police struggled to put off the fire that had occupied more than ten structures which were razed down. A Nairobi City County Fire Brigade came to the rescue, putting off the fire.
It was after everything had settled that the locals discovered that the 11 month baby had succumbed to the fire after the remains were discovered.
The body was burnt beyond recognition and many were left homeless as they sought assistance to rebuild new structures to shelter them.
