Gatundu South MP Gabriel Kagombe has been arrested by DCI detectives following the death of a boda boda rider in Thika.
The arrest follows a three day manhunt of the legislator who had gone missing. He is currently being held at Kileleshwa police station.
At the same time, detectives conducted ballistic examination of all firearms as at the time of the incident and they confirmed that the bullet was indeed discharged from the firearm of the MP.

On the date of the incident, MP Gabriel Kagombe had attended the launch of newly constructed market in Thika when supporters of Thika MP Alice Wahome and Kamenu MCA Peter Mburu clashed.
Several people sustained injuries as one person was confirmed dead after he was hit by a bullet.
