MP George Kaluma calls for prosecution of Pastor James Ng’ang’a

Homa Bay MP George Kaluma has called on action against Pastor James Ng’ang’a after he was caught on camera slapping a congregant for sleeping.

The short video has attracted backlash from many Kenyans who questioned the moral compass of the popular city preacher, among them being MP George Kaluma who called for his prosecution.

According to the MP, the Ng’ang’a should not only be prosecuted by also have his church deregistered for openly abusing the whorshipper.

He continued by saying that it is actions like this that could lead to the resurgence of another Shakahola menace that once rocked the country to its core.

“This is so bad! Kenya needs to prosecute and stop characters like Ng’ang’a; and, to deregister “churches” like Neno Evangelism whose leader openly abuses worshipers, before we witness another Shakahola-type massacres.” he said

“Ng’ang’a must be arrested, prosecuted and jailed before worse happens at Neno Evangelism. Whoever knows the guy he is assaulting in this video or any of the many worshippers he has ever assaulted should report to the nearest Police Station or see me immediately for urgent action.

The Registrar of Societies should deregister this “church” with immediate effect.” he continued

In the video, Pastor James Ng’ang’a was recorded slapping the congregant for sleeping in the middle of a summon in what has been a similar script of the city pastor making headlines over his conduct and actions.
