Mumias East MP Peter Salasya was on Sunday roughed up and ejected from Nyayo stadium in what started as a confrontation from a section those present.
The confrontation which escalated into a full blown fight saw the legislator forced out of the stadium where he had attended to watch the Kenya vs Gabon World Cup qualifier.
During the commotion, a section of those present could be heard accusing him of respecting ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
“Mumias East MP Peter Salasya forcefully ejected from Nyayo Stadium after a confrontation with a section of fans at the Kenya vs Gabon match, who roughed him up before he was escorted out, with some accusing him of disrespecting ODM leader Raila Odinga.” said Cyprian is Nyakundi
According to the video seen by Newsmoto.co.ke, the legislator was taken to the parking area where police officers came to his rescue as he rushed to safety to avoid further confrontation.
Salasya has been vocal following the political agreement between Raila and President William Ruto accusing him of a number of things including betraying Gen-Z who have continuously challenged the current administration.
