Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has on Monday declared his 2027 Presidential bid promising a tough battle between himself and President William Ruto.
“Its now official am going for presidency come 2027.Its going to be a two horse race peter salasya vs william ruto.” he said

Taking on social media, Salasya promised that he will end tribalism and that his government will be for the hustler and the dreamers.
“Forget tribal nonsense. Luhya, Kikuyu, Luo—we’re ONE. Divided by tribes? No, united by IDEOLOGIES. We want jobs, dignity, a future. My gov will be for the hustlers, the dreamers, the Gen Z who shut it down in June 2024. Y’all are my squad!” he said
Also on his agenda is the need for the country to be self sufficient in terms of making it products and esporting finished goods rather than relying on foreign countries.
“Picture this: Kenya making its OWN steel, clothes, tech—exporting FINISHED products, not just coffee or tea. We’ll grow our food, process it, and sell it global. No more shipping our iron ore to China or our youth to the Gulf as laborers. Our talent stays HERE!” he continued
