Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has arrived at he Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) headquarter for grilling.
The MP was responding to summon by EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak who was seeking the MP to record a statement over his recent assault on Malaha-Isongo-Makunga MCA Peter Walunya Indimuli.
The commission will also seek to question the MP’s public conducts being a leader elected by the people.

Confirming his date with EACC was EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi who said they will get to known if he indeed assaulted the MP and breached Chapter 6 of the constitution which spells out the conduct of state officials.
In the now viral video, Salasya could be seen being welcomed by the MCA to speak during the funeral before calling on the MCA to have a sit. After he failed to respond, the MP slapped the MCA causing chaos as shots were fired in the air by the legislator’s bodyguards.
After the incident the legislator was taken to court but failed to show claiming he was unwell as he shared photos of himself receiving treatment.
