Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has once again called for unity among the people in Mt. Kenya region.
The Deputy President was speaking from Meru County where he noted that through unity can the region stay in the government and that they must be in the government for the next 100 years.
“This region is one, let’s live like a community. Our negotiation power is enhanced, our relevance in Kenyan politics is steady and this region must stay in government for the next 100 years.

“We will be careful to be in government, nobody will be able to take us to the opposition. We are smart and we know how to decide,” said DP Gachagua
The Deputy President continued by saying that a good percentage of people in the region had been divided ahead of the election but he has taken the initiative of bringing them back together under the leadership of President William Ruto.
“I want to unite this region behind President William Ruto. I want all of us from this region to unite. During elections we were divided, 87 per cent backed Ruto, and 13 per cent threw away their votes,” said the DP
“I have looked for all those who were in Azimio, I want this region to be one under President William Ruto.” he said
