Investigations into the brutal murder of Gilbert Kinyua inside the ward of Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) may take longer as revealed by the family.
This follows the family’s long search for justice for their kin, moving from one office to the other but without any success so far.
The family now suspect foul play and that the investigators may be working to conceal the truth.

Investigations into the incident took a different turn when the results from the DNA samples collected returned a negative result, raising more questions as to what transpired before and after the brutal murder.
“So far, there is nothing from the hospital or the DCI which is comforting,” said the deceased’s wife Susan Wanjiku
“Tuliambiwa tungojee kuna simu tungepata from KNH wakituguide what to do. On Monday we waited until evening but we didn’t get any call. I called the hospital, and they told me they had no reports from the DCI.
We don’t know what to do as a family, and we have not gotten any justice…we can’t bury him without getting justice,” said Susan Wanjiku
Gilbert Kinyua who had been hospitalized at a facility where he was sorting treatment was found dead with his throats slit open.
Even though a knife believed to have been used to commit the heinious crime was found, question linger as to who who may have committed it, why was the suspect not spotted before and after the incident.
Several people have been questioned including patients from nearby wards and staff of KNH. The hospital also confirmed they are conducting there own internal investigation.
