Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen has accused former CS Justin Muturi of allegedly withholding crucial government documents.
Speaking from Mombasa, Murkomen noted that Muturi’s action could lead to his arrest and that as a former as Attorney General he swore to keep matters crucial confidential.
According to Murkomen, what Muturi has done could have landed him in jail in other countries as withholding crucial government is something serious.

- DPP constitutes team to review Agnes Wanjiru’s file
Muturi is quoted accusing President William Ruto of engaging in corrupt dealings and that he has all the documents to prove his claims, and that the evidence is in softcopy.
“The AG at the time said he had kept the documents on email. In another country, he could have been arrested because the principle of how to handle government documents is known.
The Attorney General handles classified documents, all of them, almost stamped top secret. The objective is that these documents are government documents. For one of them to say, from the time he joined office, he was photocopying documents, it’s nauseating because they are not personal documents.
You swore to confidentiality and could not be having them for two years because you’re dealing with corruption. That’s not true, he’s not the first AG to be fired.
In the US, if those documents are in your email, that’s a serious national security. You remember what happened to Hillary Clinton; one of the biggest problems was that she was communicating with her personal email on national security issues,” said Murkomen
The news comes at a time when Justin Muturi noted that the government had withdrawn his security due to his previous relationship with them.
