President William Ruto has noted with concern the question asked by many Kenyans over the cost of transport the government paid for his recent state visit to USA.
Taking on X, the Head of State noted that the mode of transport he used was less than what he could have spent if he used the national courier Kenya Airways (KQ).

“Fellow Kenyans, I have noted concerns on my mode of transport to USA. As a responsible steward of public resources and in keeping with my determination for us to live within our means and that I should lead from the front in so doing, the cost was less than travelling on KQ.” said President William Ruto
The news follows complains by a section of Kenyans that the private jet cost taxpayers Ksh 200 million one way at a time when Kenyans are struggling financially dur to the high cost of living brought about by government policies.
At the same time, the President called on government ministries to cut there budgets and Kenyans to live within their means so as to avoid a debt distress country.
