Two people have been arrested and a massive haul of shisha products have been seized by NACADA officials who raided Paris Lounge in Lang’ata, Nairobi.
According to NACADA, the raid follows a court ruling by the Court of Appeal that upheld the ban of shisha in the country.

In a bold enforcement operation led by NACADA’s Director of Compliance and Enforcement, **James Koskei**, officers raided **Paris Lounge in Lang’ata**, seizing a massive haul of shisha products and arresting two individuals.
This crackdown comes after the **Court of Appeal upheld the ban on shisha** (Gazette Notice No. 292 of 2017), dismissing all petitions challenging it. NACADA is now fully empowered to enforce the law, and they’re not holding back!.” said NACADA.
According to the agency, the effects of shisha are real and there work is to ensure that Kenyans are protected from the risk of alcohol and drug abuse.
“Shisha may seem harmless, but its dangers are real. NACADA’s mission is clear: to protect Kenyans from the risks of alcohol and drug abuse.” they said
