Controller of Budget (CoB) Margaret Nyakang’o has on Wednesday revealed how much devolved units received and how much they spent in terms of development.
In her report, Governor Johnson Sakaja’s Nairobi County was revealed to be among ten other devolved units that spent zero shillings on matters development. Other counties include Kajiado, Baringo, Lamu, Uasin Gishu and West Pokot counties.

The report also revealed that Naork and Kirinyaga counties led by Governors Patrick Ole Ntutu and Anne Waiguru spent the most on development. Governor. Paul Otuoma’s Busia also med it into the least on matters development.
Nairobi County was also mentioned for having the highest amount of pending bills at Ksh 121 billion followed by Garissa with Ksh 6 billion. Kiambua and Turkana came in third and fourth position with Ksh 5.9 billion and Ksh 4.8 pending bills respectively.
