Niger President Mohamed Bazoum is being held by the presidential guards inside the presidential palace in what looks like an attempted coup.
The presidential palace has also been blocked by military vehicles since morning, an occurrence that resembles what happened in Mali and Burkina Faso.
Revealing the news was Reuters who have confirmed that ministries next to the palace have also been blocked and staff blocked from accessing their offices.
In March 2021 an attempted coup occurred in Niger before the military personnel plan was thwarted days before President Mohamed Bazoum was sworn to office.
