Two Nigerians and suspects behind the gruesome death of Rita Waeni will spend eight days in custody to pave way for investigation.
Appearing before Makadara Law Courts on Monday, the two suspects William Ovie Opia and JohnBull Asibor were making their first appearance following the discovery of Rita Waeni’s body inside a Airbnb in Roysambu, Nairobi County.
DCI detectives at Kasarani police station who arrested the suspects recovered a hatchet, butcher knife, three laptops and six mobile phones.

Also recovered during the raid were a number of SIM cards from different mobile operators and an ID card belonging to one Omar Mwamkwaju Juma.
It has also been discovered that the two suspects have been in the country illegally after it emerged that William Ovie Opia was carrying an expired passport as his colleague claimed that his was missing.
The news comes barely a day after the police recovered a head believed to be that of Rita Waeni whose dismembered body was taken in for further forensic analysis.
Speaking after conducting the autopsy, government pathologist Johansen Oduor admitted that he has never seen such an incident in his entire experience.
