Governor Nyaribo faces impeachment over alleged Ksh 22 million drug scandal as revealed by Township ward MCA Duke Masira who is also the deputy leader of the majority at the Assembly.
“We want the Senate to establish whether Nyaribo will continue being governor. He claimed that only boxes were delivered instead of drugs, we want him to be investigated,” said Duke Masira.
The MCA’s have also lost faith in the leadership of the Governor as revealed by the Deputy Majority leader of the County Assembly.
At the time of the scandal, Governor Amos Nyaribo sacked then county health minister Timothy Ombati who has since moved to court challenging his dismissal.
