An impeachment motion against Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo table at the County Assembly has on Tuesday failed.
The motion which had been tabled by Esise Ward MCA Josiah Mangera was rejected by 18 MCA’s ending a week long of mobilization to impeach the Governor.
Mangera accused Nyaribo of a number of allegations including the misuse of public funds and alleged involvement in corruption among others.

“We believe those spearheading the talks have gotten the reason why we are after impeaching the governor. We will table the motion. Above all, service delivery has been poor. The governor has failed to hold talks on how to improve service delivery,
We are ready to sit for dialogue if only the governor listens to us. All we need is service delivery for the people who elected us. But because there is nobody to listen to us, the motion is on,” said Bomanyatuta MCA Julius Matwere.
