The police have warned protesters fronting the occupy JKIA hashtag against accessing protected areas in the country.
The anti-government protest which saw the withdrawal of the contentious Finance Bill 2024 by President William Ruto has continued with the Gen Z demanding a complete overhaul of the Cabinet.
Even after its withdrawal and subsequent dismissal of the CSs, Kenyans have not been happy with how some previous CSs were renamed in the first 11 member Cabinet confirmed by the President.

An alleged leak on how the government has leased JKIA has seen the protesters channel their energy towards the International Airport to demand for answers.
The police acting on the information have since warned them against going past legal boundaries.
“The Protected Areas Act Cap 204 Laws of Kenya prevents the entry of unauthorized persons into areas which have been declared to be protected areas. Protected Areas Order as clarified under its Legal Notice No. 9 of 2011, Second Schedule, include LPG Plant, the Bitumen Plant and Petroleum depots situated at the Embakasi Aviation Depot (JKIA),” said Police IG Douglas AKanji.
Akanji continued by reminding them that those arrested trespassing the restricted areas such as JKIA will face the full force of the law.
“We urge all individuals participating in demonstrations to respect these legal provisions and refrain from attempting to enter or interfere with protected areas. The National Police Service is resolute in its commitment to uphold and enforce these laws,” he said
