Orengo slams ODM members not questioning President Ruto’s administration

Siaya Governor James Orengo has slammed a section of ODM members following President William Ruto without questioning some of the things happening in the government.

Speaking during the funeral service of Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) chairperson Roseline Odede, Orengo called on the opposition to stay firm in its quest of questioning the current regime.

“The law can never be suspended, you must always live by the dictates of the Constitution. When Hitler formed the government, it was a coalition and that coalition died so I pray that ODM to withstand any storm,” he said

“Even if you make compromises, you must do so on principle. Don’t be part of praise and worship, we must stand firm.” he continued

Orengo also addressed the current rise in cases of abduction saying that people should not be praising the government and forget it obligations.

“Kenya is crying that we must stop abductions, and extrajudicial killings so that we can be a republic. When there is too much sycophancy in government, people lose sight of their fundamentals.” said Orengo

Supporting his sentiments was Senator Edwin Sifuna who also called on ODM members to remain firm in their role as opposition.

“ODM leaders in government must stop being sycophants and call out Ruto for injustices that are going on in Kenya,” said Sifuna
