A petition has been filed seeking to eject Cleophas Malala as the Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
According to documents seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the petitioner identified as Joseph Kalende Wabwire accused the former Senator of interfering with the party’s grassroots elections.
Joseph, a self proclaimed founder of UDA continued by accusing Malala of defying the party’s leadership and instead causing division with UDA as witnessed in the recent grassroot elections.

The petitioner further accused the Secretary General of embezzling UDA funds, violation of UDA party constitution as well as being a leader of questionable educational background .
As UDA founders, we shall strive to remind our members where we came from, why we formed this party, and where we intend to go with it. This is why it is sometimes, such as it is now, important to remind us of the history of the UDA Party,” he said
“Any attempts to disorient the UDA Party from the greater objectives is sufficient reason to sanction, punish, and expel those who do that. In the future, we shall recommend formal leadership and orientation capacity building for new officials who join the Party to safeguard the integrity and eminence of the party.” he continued
The news follows recent division witnessed within the party especially by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who has been clear on the need for Mt. Kenya people to remain united and receive their right share of the government resources.
