Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai is a man feeling the heat after Kenya Power disconnected power at his rural home in Kitui.
Confirming the news was Kenya Power regional manager, John Wanyoike who revealed that the MP had not been paying power at his rural home in Kitui, Zombe area.
The news comes barely days after Kenya Power disconnected power at his Kitengela’s home over illegal connection.

On Wednesday, the Legislator was arrested and later released on Ksh 50,000 cash bail with the case set for hearing on 11th July. This is after he physically assaulted a Kenya Power boss as captured on camera.
Other charges levelled against MP Nimrod Mbai include illegal connection and electricity theft.
The assault of the Kenya Power official led to demonstration by Kenya Power union workers who were angered by the incident.
