President William Ruto has appreciated Ford Foundation’s commitment in safeguarding democracy in the country.
Speaking after meeting Ford Foundation President in New York, the Head of State also applauded the foundation’s call for supporting the country’s economic institutions, climate action and modern technology regulation.

Held talks with the President of the Ford Foundation Darren Walker in New York.” said President Ruto.
The statement comes months after he had accused the foundation of sponsoring the Gen Z led demonstrations even though they did not provide evidence to back up the claims.
At the time, the government even threatened to expel the American company following the wave of protests.
