President William Ruto has on Thursday attended the Turkana Cultural Festival in Lodwar, an event that brings together South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia.
“During Tobong’u Lore, the Turkana Cultural Festival in Lodwar; the festival brings members of the community from neighbouring South Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia, building cohesion and helping to prevent conflict through positive interaction.” said the President
The Head of State promised to put in place legislative and policy framework that will protect and promote the country’s traditions and heritage.
“The beauty and diversity of Kenyan culture is a strong platform for the development and expansion of our cultural tourism. We are putting in place the legislative and policy frameworks that will protect and promote Kenya’s wondrous traditions and heritage.
This will set the stage for the exploitation of our cultural assets, creating transformative economic opportunities for various communities across Kenya.” he said
