President William Ruto has called on leaders in the country to stop inciting the youth and instead provide opportunities for them as that is what they want.
Speaking from Bungoma County on Sunday, the Head of State noted that it the leaders who incite the youth that are responsible for the slow economic growth.
“These young people of Kenya don’t need violence, they don’t need confrontation. They want opportunities, jobs to engage in business that is what we should be doing as leaders instead of inciting them to violence, destruction and many things that will not solve their problem and the problem in the country,” said President Ruto

According to the President, the youth should take up the available opportunities created so as to ensure progress in their lives.
“There are opportunities in labour migration, ICT hubs, housing, and agriculture. So plan yourself accordingly with these opportunities and your life will progress,” he said
He continued by promising to move the country forward contrary to claims by his critics that he does not have a plan for the country altogether.
“Do not worry about those hurling insults because they do not have an alternative plan. But Kenya will move forward. You can take that assurance from me,” said Ruto
The Head of State was speaking a day after former President Uhuru Kenyatta called on the youth to fight for what truly belongs to them as failure to do so they will have themselves to blame.
