President William Ruto has on Sunday defended his relationship with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga saying that they both share the same plan for the country.

Speaking during the burial ceremony of Senator William Cheptumo in Baringo, President William Ruto noted that both the Azimio and Kenya Kwanza manifesto had some things in common including the affordable housing programme.

Ruto was speaking as the country awaits the political direction of Hon. Raila Odinga who has confirmed that he is still consulting with all Kenyans before making an announcement.

The news also comes at the backdrop of rising political temperatures following the coming together of a strong opposition team comprising of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

President William Ruto has however dismissed there claims that the current regime has failed on several issues including the health sector and education not forgetting over taxation that has seen many Kenyans cry of high cost of living.

According to the Head of State, they lack a clear roadmap as to how they can transform the country but keep on blaming the government at every chance they get.
