President William Ruto has this evening departed the country for the People’s Republic of China for a three day official visit.
During his visit, the President will hold bilateral talks between Kenya and China and highlight the country’s participation in the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The 3rd Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Forum will convene world leaders in Beijing for talks on cooperation and partnership, emphasising infrastructure development and enhanced connectivity across continents and peoples.” said Hussein Mohamed.
During the meeting, President William Ruto will deliver a keynote address Digital Economy as a New Source of Growth’ highlighting Kenya’s advancement in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and innovation.
The Head of State will also hold talks with President Xi Jinping and other world leaders to discuss matters of mutual benefit and cooperation.
“Additionally, the President will participate in a Kenya-China Investors roundtable to emphasize Kenya’s standing as an investment hub for Chinese companies, aiming to forge mutually beneficial partnerships for both nations and their peoples.” read the statement
