President William Ruto has on Sunday departed to Rome to attend the Italy-Africa Summit whose theme is A Bridge for Common Growth.
Confirming the news was Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed who said that the President will attend the summit in his capacity as the Chair of the Committee of African Heads of State and Government on Climate Change (CAHOSCC).

The President who will deliver a key speech on energy security will also be joined with 20 other Head of State who will also discuss matters food security, culture, education, vocational training, energy security, economic and infrastructure development, combating human trafficking and terrorism.
President Mattarella of Italy will also hold talks with President William Ruto and the two are expected to discuss the agreements they signed in the last year during the Prime Minister’s visit to Kenya.
“Projects formed through the collaboration between Italy and Kenya will be expedited including programmes in environmental conservation, climate change resilience, water, education, health, energy and culture,” said Hussein Mohamed.
