President William Ruto has on Tuesday publicly criticized current CS and former Attorney General Justin Muturi terming him ‘fairly incompetent.
The Head of State was speaking from State House where he hosted an Iftar dinner where he said that the former Attorney General was fairly incompetent in the establishment of Waqf, a commission that would oversee management of Islamic endowments.
He continued by promising them that the issues of Waqf will be resolved within months.

“I had a problem with the AG who was there before—he was fairly incompetent. But now, I have a very competent lady in the position, and I can assure you that the issues of Wakf will be sorted out within months,” he said
President William Ruto was responding to concerns by the Muslim leaders’ on the establishment of the fund that has since not kicked off as promised.
The news is a strong indication of deeper issues and more to come as the two leaders are not reading from the same scripts on how government issues are being handled.
At the same time, President William Ruto also promised of an all inclusive government giving an example of the broad-based government establishment between him and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
“The Government of Kenya is able to carry all of us, from different backgrounds, communities, and religions. Nobody needs to leave for someone else to come in. If anyone ever doubted that, now we have a broad-based government. Everybody is here, and bado haijajaa.
We will continue to look at the issues raised here—how we can mainstream religious education and find a nexus between religious and formal education. This has taken too long, and there is absolutely no reason for it” said President Ruto
