President William Ruto has issued a statement confirming the country’s stand to the people of Libya following deadly floods.
Taking on social media, the Heads of State confirmed that Kenya was standing with the people of Libya amid devastating floods.

“Our solidarity with the people of Libya in the face of devastating floods that have led to loss of lives and destruction of property. Kenya stands with you.” said President Ruto
The statement follows news that about 5,000 people have lost their lives as ongoing search and rescue operations continue in the country.
The city of Derna has seen about half of it being destroyed by the floods as mass burial was conducted on Tuesday.
