President William Ruto has on Friday promised to resolve both the management and financial challenges facing Moi University.
Speaking during a working tour of the region, the Head of State confirmed that he had set up a committee to access the challenges the university is facing.

“We will put in place an efficient management team and allocate it enough resources so that Moi University can thrive like the other public universities,” he said.
The President made the remarks in Kapseret where he officially opened the Ngeria Technical Training Institute and commissioned the state-of-the-art Jitume ICT Lab.
“We remain committed to expanding access to higher education for all our youth, ensuring they have the opportunities and resources needed to achieve their dreams and full potential. Officially opened Ngeria Technical Training Institute in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County, and commissioned the state-of-the-art Jitume ICT Lab.” he said
He continued by confirming that the government is planning to lay 10,000km of fibre optic cable that will connect 100,000 public institutions in the region.
