The prime suspect in the murder of British national Campbell Scott has on Sunday been arrested in Mombasa where he has been hiding.
Detectives flushed the male suspect out of his hideout following the February 18th discovery of Scott’s body and the police are planning to produce him in court.
The detectives have also maintained that there are two more accomplices to the gruesome murder and could be hiding either in Nairobi or Mombasa.

At the same time, the two suspects who had been arrested over the incident have been confirmed to be innocent and could be used to testify in the case.
“We have a prime suspect in the murder of Scott. The hunt for more suspects is ongoing. We hope to get more suspects involved in this callous murder,” said DCI boss Mohamed Amin
The prime suspect is expected to appear before court on Monday 3rd March 2025.
The news comes at a time when autopsy conducted on Scott’s body turned inconclusive as the soft tissues injuries were found to be minor to cause his death. More samples were taken for more testing.
