Fresh details have emerged on John Matara, the prime suspect in the brutal murder of Starlet Wahu Mwangi.
The new details as filed at Makadara sub-county police headquarters by another alleged victim reveals how they met on a dating app leading to an attempted murder by the suspect.
According to the lady, the relationship was rosy as the suspect would spend on her until when they booked an AirBnB. Inside the room, the suspect would demand access to her financial records or stab her to death.

“I met this guy on a dating site…he seemed so nice and even took me to an AirBnB. In the middle of the night he started strangling me and even asked for my M-Pesa statements,” she said
She continued by revealing how the suspect would then record her doing bad things so as to use them incase she reports the issue.
It has since been revealed that the suspect is among a gang targeting women, spending on them before stealing from them after testing for HIV.
“It is the same guy…the number posted by DCI is the same guy I can testify that I used to transfer money to him which is John Ongoa Mtara,” said the victim.
Starlet Wahu who was the sister to controversial pastor Kanyari was laid to rest on Saturday barely a day after the incident happened.
