Investments, Trade & Industry CS Moses Kuria has called on Kenyans to expect pump prices to go up by Ksh 10 every month till February.
The CS was speaking hours after fuel prices in the country were hiked by Ksh 16.96, Ksh 21.32 and Ksh 33.13 per litre of super petrol, diesel and kerosene respectively effective 15th September 2023 for a period of one month.
“The maximum allowed petroleum pump prices in Nairobi are as follows: Super Petrol increases by KShs.16.96, Diesel increases by KShs.21.32 per litre & Kerosene increases by KShs.33.13 per litre.

“The maximum allowed petroleum pump prices in Nairobi are as follows: Super Petrol increases by KShs.16.96, Diesel increases by KShs.21.32 per litre & Kerosene increases by KShs.33.13 per litre.
Super Petrol, Diesel & Kerosene will retail at Kshs.211.64, 200.99 & 202.61 respectively in Nairobi effective midnight.” said EPRA
Kenyans have now called on the government to full their election promises of better cost of living as fear now grows of companies shutting down and scaring investors in the country.
At the same time, the government through Treasury is now seeking to increase the current VAT from 16% to 18% so as to be equal to other East African countries.
