Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is set to be unveiled as the candidate of the African Union Commission position in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Through a press release, the campaign secretariat of the former Prime Minister noted that the event is a follow up of the August 27th ceremony where he was unveiled in Nairobi.
In Ethiopia, Raila is expected to engage with core players, formations an partners of AU and use the same platform to outline his Pan-African vision and priorities in line with the AU agenda 2063.

“The candidate will crown the activities with a keynote address at the Grand Campaign Reception to be held at the AU Multipurpose Hall on the evening of 8th November 2024.” read the press release
Raila who is already in Ethiopia toured the Africa Hall where he went through the rich information of prominent scholars,artists, political leaders, diplomats, and environmentalists.
