Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is expected to address the nation next week and announce his next political seat after failing to secure the AUC seat.
The decision follows a Tuesday meeting in Kisumu, the first one in the region after he jetted in from Mombasa where he has been.

In Kisumu, he met Luo Council of elders drawn from Kisumu, Migori, Homabay and Siaya counties to forge his way forward ahead of the 2027 elections.
During the day, the former Prime Minister held a closed two-hour meeting with youths from the region to listen to their view and share his plan ahead of the announcement.
Raila Odinga has been in Mombasa with President William Ruto where he assured his support come the general election given the support he received during his AUC bid.
According to Odinga’s allies, President Ruto and Raila are set to form a coalition come 2027 even though Kalonzo Musyoka is active convincing him to join his side.
