Former Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick has turned down a proposal by Bayern Munich to replace Thomas Tuchel.
“Ralf Rangnick turns down Bayern proposal and will NOT become the new manager due to personal reasons.” said Fabrizio Romano
According to Rangnick, the decision to turn down the proposal was due to the fact that he has plans with the Austrian national team.
- Arsenal to face Bayern Munich in Champions League draw
- Bochum condemn Bayern Munich to third straight loss
“I’m the Austrian team coach with all my heart. This is not a rejection of Bayern, but rather a decision for my team and our common goals” he said
The Austrian coach becomes the second coach to turn down the proposal after Xabi Alonso and Nagelsmann respectively.
“Bayern were just waiting for Ralf Rangnick to accept their proposal with announcement set for next week; but he rejected due to personal reasons. After Xabi Alonso and Nagelsmann, also Ralf Rangnick says no to Bayern.” said Fabrizio Romano
