Rapid Support Forces committed genocide in Sudan, says U.S

The United States of America has concluded that the members of Rapid Support Forces and allied militias committed acts of genocide in Sudan.

Through Secretary Antony Blinken, the U.S has promised that they will be accountable for their actions and atrocities that they committed.

“After reviewing the horrifying information of suffering inside Sudan, I have concluded that members of the Rapid Support Forces and allied militias have committed genocide in Sudan. The United States is committed to pursuing accountability for these atrocities.” said Blinken

Among the atrocities committed include the murder and men and boys and sexual assault of women and girls from a certain ethnic group. The U.S has already sanctioned Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo well known as Hemedti for the crimes he committed to the people of Sudan.

In April 2023 a war erupted between the Sudan army and the RSF rebels that tore Sudan apart and caused famine and death of tens of thousand of people. Million other people were internally displaced causing a displacement crisis never seen before.
