A report by the government pathologist Johansen Oduor has revealed that the late Rita Waeni succumbed to strangulation.
The news comes after tissue samples were taken for further analysis by the pathologist to determine the cause of her death.
As investigations continue, the police are still working to determine if the head recovered at Kiambaa Dam, Kiambu County really belonged to the deceased whose body was dismembered.

Dr. Johansen Oduor already revealed that from the autopsy it was clear that the killer attempted to clear his DNA from her body by messing with her nails which normally keep traces of the suspects.
He continued by confirming that the incident was the first one he has ever encountered in his career as the suspect made clear cuts on the victims body suggesting experience.
At the same time, the police are holding two Nigerian suspects who were discovered to be living in the country illegally.
