40-year-old Robert Card, the prime suspect in the Maine shooting that claimed the lives of at least 22 people has been found dead.
According to local media stations, the suspect was found in the woods near a recycling center and eight miles from Lewiston where a bullet was fired. It is suspected that Card succumbed to a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The Wednesday attack was the worst in American history of mass shooting as over 50 people had sustained injuries during the night attack.
Police issued a warning to locals that the suspect was large, armed and dangerous. Many of the locals were advised to stay indoors as police continue with their operations.
It was established that Robert Card was an army reservist with full knowledge of gun operation but had not been in combat.
