Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now claims that the government has no intention of fighting drug abuse among the youth in the country.
Speaking on Sunday during a church service at the Catholic Diocese of Nyahururu in Nyandarua County, the former DP revealed that President brought in two drug barons to his cabinet without revealing names.

“When I left the government, Ruto brought two drug barons into his Cabinet as Cabinet Secretaries. How do you expect the fight against drugs to be won? It cannot. Our youth are left in God’s protection,” he said
According to Gachagua, Kenya Kwanza government has never had the intention of fighting drug abuse in the country, a war that he embarked during his tenure.
“Now, Kenya is the only country in the world where drug barons selling drugs sit in the Cabinet.” he said
Gachagua called on the church to take the role of calling out the government saying that the parliament has since been taken over by the executive arm.
“Parliament has been captured by the Executive, so the church, speak loudly. If not, Kenya is gone,” he said
