Ruto meets Togo’s President who pledges to support Raila’s candidature

President William Ruto has met President Faure Essozimna of Togo who pledged to support former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s candidature for AUC.

According to President Ruto, Africa needs an inclusive dialogue among its stakeholders so a transform the continent.

“Africa’s future will be shaped by inclusive dialogue among all stakeholders on the continent’s transformation agenda.

This includes reforms of the African Union, peace and security, and continental integration to enhance the private sector’s role in development under the African Continental Free Trade Area Agreement.

Met President FEGnassingbe of Togo in Accra, Ghana, ahead of the inauguration of President John Mahama. President Gnassingbé pledged his support for Hon. Raila Odinga’s candidature for the African Union Commission chairperson.” said President William Ruto

At the same venue, Ruto also met Equatorial Guinea Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue who pledged his support for Hon. Raila Odinga.

“Increased investment in agriculture is a critical pillar in ensuring that Africa achieves food security and is in line with the continent’s Malabo Declaration.

Additionally, investment in tourism, trade and investment will drive development and growth, enabling the continent to realise its full economic potential.

In Accra, Ghana, met the Equatorial Guinea Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue who pledged his country’s support for Hon. Raila Odinga’s AUC chairperson bid.” he said
