President William Ruto has on Thursday offered scholarship to 100 students from Comoros to study in Kenya.
The announcement follows the signing of a General Cooperation Agreement between President William Ruto and President Azali Assoumani of Comosors.
The Head of State however noted that the students will have to pay an equal amount as required in the country.
The two Heads of State committed to abolishing all visa requirement for holders of valid travel documents as at the end of the year so as to increase people-people interaction and improve business between the two countries.
“The free visa regime will improve people-to-people interaction and increase volume of trade between Kenya and Comoros,” read the statement.
Other areas of discussion include cooperation in areas such as Trade and Investment, Transport, Education, Tourism, Agriculture, Blue Economy and Maritime Security.
