The South African Development Community (SADC) has called on its 16 members of the block last minute urging them to back Madagascar’s candidate for the AUC top seat.
The news comes at a time when both Raila Odinga and Djibouti’s Foreign Minister Mahmoud Ali Youssouf have prepared for months for the election that is supposed to take place on Saturday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The endorsement by SADC is expected to shift the results of the election which will for sure not be an easy moment for the candidates.
President William Ruto has already arrived in Ethiopia ahead of the election with many more delegates expected to arrive ahead of the elections.
The government through Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has rubbished rumours that it will carter for the expenses of many Kenyan leaders.
