Telecom giants Safaricom has gifted its M-Pesa customers with cash following Tuesday’s countrywide service disruption.
The cash was a token to the customers who exercised patience during the period when systems had failed.
“Please enjoy some cash back as a token of our gratitude, we appreciate you.” said Safaricom
One of the confirmed cases was where a customer received Ksh 20 from the company.
“Confirmed, you have received Sh20 from Mpesa offers.” read the message
During the Tuesday incident, customers transacting through the platform received a pop up indicating that ‘the parameters of data sources are null null’.
